Glenn Tilbrook will return to the U.S. this July for a VH1 Classic-sponsored string of acoustic dates in support of his critically acclaimed solo debut album, THE INCOMPLETE GLENN TILBROOK. This will be Glenn's fifth solo U.S. tour since the breakup of Squeeze.
Glenn's solo shows are an energetic mix of his solo songs, Squeeze favorites (including "Tempted", which VH1 recently named as one of the 100 Greatest Songs of the past 25 Years) and covers in an up close and personal setting, during which it's not uncommon for Glenn to spend an encore walking through the audience, across the top of a bar or even across the street to the bar next door, all while singing and playing the guitar.
During this tour, Glenn will be spending time in both Austin and Nashville to record tracks for his new studio album, which is scheduled for release in spring 2004. Glenn is also currently at work on a live cd for release in fall 2004, which was recorded on various tours in the U.S. and UK during the last two years.

"Tilbrook is not simply one of the preeminent talents of his generation. He's one of the finest singer-songwriters in all of rock and roll. Don't miss him."

Glenn Tilbrook returns, by popular demand, for fourth U.S. tour in support of his solo debut "The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook."
Former Squeeze frontman Glenn Tilbrook will return to the U.S. this November for a series of solo acoustic dates. This will be Glenn’s fourth visit to these shores in support of his critically acclaimed solo debut album "The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook."

The Kansas CIty Pitch Weekly summed up the appeal of this tour very simply:"If anyone can fly with just his voice, his songs and an acoustic guitar, it’s Glenn Tilbrook."

Mixing new songs with stripped down versions of Squeeze favorites, Glenn has indeed taken full advantage of the intimate nature of these performances. It’s not uncommon for him to spend an encore walking through the audience or across the top of a bar while singing.

In fact, if the inspiration strikes him, Glenn’s been known to take the entire crowd outside for a "walkabout." The Washington Post, who voted Glenn’s recent D.C. performance "Best Concert of the Year," offers the following account:

"For an encore, the former Squeeze vocalist and songwriter led the crowd out the door and into Iota's parking lot, where he serenaded everyone under the moonlight with unplugged versions of 'Goodbye Girl' and 'Pulling Mussels (From the Shell).' He briefly made Wilson Boulevard feel like the center of the universe."

VH1 Classic is the official sponsor of this tour. They will feature Squeeze videos on their channel throughout the tour, in addition to exclusive interviews with Glenn and regular tour updates.

Glenn Tilbrook documentary coming soon
Late last year, to support the release of his debut solo CD, The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook, Glenn Tilbrook embarked on a different kind of independent route as he took to the road in America: One man, two guitars and a mobile home.
Glenn Tilbrook: One for the Road follows him on every step of that journey: arriving in the States; picking up his mobile home; performing the shows; meeting the fans; packing away his guitars; camping at campgrounds; traveling in the RV: All access, all of the time. Glenn Tilbrook named to several "best of 2001" lists:

Metroland "Recordings Best of 2001"

Critic: Val Haynes : #1 Glenn Tilbrook - "The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook"
"One clever Brit under a groove. Tilbrook's hook-laden, uncanny melodies are sung in his signature style. You'll laugh, you'll cry--and you can dance to it."

"The Best Concert of the Year" by Dave Segal of The Washington Post:
"For an encore, the former Squeeze vocalist and songwriter led the crowd of 100 out the door and into Iota's parking lot, where he serenaded everyone under the moonlight with unplugged versions of "Goodbye Girl" and "Pulling Mussels From a Shell." He briefly made Wilson Boulevard feel like the center of the universe."

Fortune Magazine "The Best of the Rest"
"Why settle up for dried-up dollops of '80's nostalgia when the front guy from Squeeze is still cooking up fresh batches of pop meringue?"
